Nero or the Fall of Rome dévoile « Graves Above » issu de son premier album Beneath the Swaying Fronds of Elysian Fields (27 avril, Naturmacht Productions). Le morceau est inspiré de l’histoire de Daniele Nardi et Tom Ballard qui sont décédés en février 2019 à Nanga Parbat dans l’Himalaya, en tentant d’ouvrir une nouvelle porte par le légendaire Mummery Spur, plus de cent ans après la première et dernière tentative par Albert Frederick Mummery qui y a perdu la vie en 1895.
The Italian doom/blacksters Nero or the Fall of Rome have released the second single “Graves Above” taken from their upcoming album: ‘Beneath the Swaying Fronds of Elysian Fields’ out 27th April 2020 via Naturmacht Productions. This song is inspired by the story of Daniele Nardi and Tom Ballard who died in February 2019 on Nanga Parbat, Himalaya, trying to open a new way through the legendary Mummery Spur, more than one hundred years later the first and only one attempt made by Albert Frederick Mummery who lost his life during this trial in 1895.
